You'll probably want to stop over at the Vampire Sphere page first to get an idea of what the local IC climate is like before starting to design your character.

Select Attributes[]
Prioritize the three categories: Physical, Social, Mental (7/5/3)
Note: All Attributes start with 1 free dot.
- Choose Physical Traits: Strength, Dexterity, Stamina
- Choose Social Traits: Charisma, Manipulation, Appearance
- Choose Mental Traits: Perception, Intelligence, Wits
Select Abilities[]
Prioritize the three categories: Talents, Skills, Knowledges
Choose Talents, Skills, Knowledges (13/9/5)
Remember that no Abilities can be raised above 3 without spending Freebie Points.
Select Advantages[]
- Choose Backgrounds (7)
- Virtues (7) - Note that all Virtues start with 1 free dot
- Conscience
- Courage
- Self Control
- Characters wishing to begin play on a Path of Enlightenment are encouraged to first speak with Malkav.
- Disciplines (3)
- Note that the three "physical" Disciplines (Potence, Celerity and Fortitude) can be spontaneously manifested by vampires of any Clan, so while they may be started with, they should only be considered "in-clan" Disciplines if so noted in that Clan's writeup.
- Also note that there is a vanishingly small chance of a fledgling vampire knowing any Disciplines (apart from the already mentioned physicals) outside the "normal" three of their Clan.
Finishing Touches[]
- Record maximum Blood Pool (determined by Generation)
- Record Willpower (equal to Courage)
- Record Humanity (sum of Conscience and Self Control)
- Record and detail Clan Weakness.
- Record Banality.
- Most Young Vampires tend towards Banality 7; Most Old Vampires tend towards Banality 8; either of these can be higher if the Vampire is particularly clinical and logical in their philosophies. Choose which best fits your character (Malkavians, for example, can wander all over this spectrum).
- Choose Merits and Flaws (maximum of 7 points in each).
- Spend Freebie Points (21)
Applying[]
Once you've got all the numbers done, you'll need to come up with your character's backstory, their reason for being in Crystal Springs, that kind of thing. Feel free to create a page here on the wiki and put your information there for the wizzen to look over (look around at the other character pages for examples if you like). Once you have everything put together to your satisfaction, let Malkav know, and make sure to put the Pending Characters category on your page.
