The Deep Creek meets the Colorado River just to the east. The Deep Creek Park ends at about this confluence. Most of this neighborhood is occupied by clean, middle-class housing subdivisions, public schools, and smaller businesses. The Tri-Med campus rises closes to I-870, which heads south from Diamond Valley, and then turns west to loop around Ascott Hills towards Glenwood Springs.

This neighborhood is named after Chief Ouray of the Ute Native American tribe.
